Organised Immigration Crime (OIC) remains one of the most pressing transnational threats facing UK and European law enforcement, with Organised Crime Groups (OCGs) frequently implicated in facilitating irregular migration alongside connected poly-criminal activity. The National Crime Agency notes that this criminality generates easy money for criminal groups, funds other forms of organised crime, and often endangers the lives of the migrants themselves.

In this session, our analysts will walk through a real investigation into a suspected Albanian Organised Crime Group thought to be involved in OIC and transnational poly-criminality. We will demonstrate open-source collection and analysis within the Tangles and CoAnalyst360 platforms, before pivoting into a simulated evidence-based investigation in PLX.
